We’re proud to announce that we have today released Reactive Trader 1.4.0. Reactive Trader is our FX trading showcase application – we use it to demonstrate the type of work we do for our clients (as we can’t always show their applications!), and the best practices we like to follow in terms of UI development, desktop strategy and user experience design. It is fully open source on GitHub, as there are not many examples of large-scale, front-to-back, real-time streaming financial applications out there, and we love that Reactive Trader can serve as such a reference.
The 1.4.0 release is a significant one, where we have paid particular attention to the user experience of Reactive Trader and the Reactive Launcher, making many UX changes throughout the application, including updated search, iconography and window frames. A particular highlight is the revamped style guide, which we use to show off the design system that we employ to build Reactive Trader. Look for more on this topic on our blog shortly.
Please see the release notes on GitHub for the full list of changes in this version.
If you are interested to learn more about the evolution of Reactive Trader, be sure to watch our recent joint webinar with Finsemble about micro-frontends, where we demo the original WPF version of Reactive Trader, and how it has evolved to the point where we can integrate it as modular micro-frontends into a smart desktop environment.
